In mid April of 2009, my dear friend Avi Kohli passed away.  He was 71, and lived a very adventurous and fulfilling life.  The photo above shows him and myself after our successful tiger hunt near Corbett Park in northern India.  Avi was a pioneer of adventure travel for India. He opened so many doors in India that made my adventures there possible.  Just this past week he was talking from his hospital bed about opening up Nagaland for the first time in Assam.  He passed with his full family around him, and he was a part of mine.
